Destroyed For Comfort Live At Tx Industrial Music Fest.

Found a little bit of footage from our sweltering early evening performance (5:45 PM, 99 degrees in the shade) at the Tx Industrial Fest hosted by Austin Cyberpunks. Looks like we got a new fan! =)

"Cut You Out" by Destroyed For Comfort on iNudge.

Well, apparently because I felt the need to prove myself wrong, I've come up with a reasonable proto version of the DFC song "Cut You Out" on iNudge (video posted above).

It's more or less open source, so if you come up with a cute mix, post a link to it in the comment section!

How About You iNudge Me Over A PBR, All Of A Sudden It's A Hipster Electro Dance Party Up In This Bitch.

Not sure how old this update is, so apologies if I'm behind the curve, but they've recently added features to the online sequencer widget iNudge where you can make extended songs by adding matrices. Was going to try to replicate some Destroyed For Comfort songs, but none of them seem to be in the appropriate key, so I decided to crank out a few electro-hipster jams. iNudge, strangely enough, seems to be incredibly well suited for that. So break out the cooler and click on the Pabst Blue Ribbon cans below to check out what I made.

Admin Note: Shortly after posting this, I managed to cook up a reasonable version of a DFC song. Shows what I know.

Awthum Empire Interview With VidKidz.

Vidkidz are pretty awesome. Destroyed For Comfort has had the pleasure of working with them a couple of times and they do great projection work. Click here for Awthum Empire's interview with them.

Here's A Video And A Rant. Free Of Charge.

Ack. So much to do. Well, SXSW is officially in progress all around me right now. Have a gig tonight @ Plush (7:45PM, if ya wanna attend) as part of the 10th Annual Yeast By Sweet Beast experimental music showcase. After we play, my attention will be torn between the rest of that show and a private Game Programmer party going on a few blocks away. Then tomorrow is Awthumfetht, Synth By Synthwest, and Datapop 3.0. And through all of this I'm still trying to find a job.

FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUU-

Well, at least most of my stress is from the awesomeness surrounding me. Could be worse. Speaking of awesome, here's a video I put together for Destroyed For Comfort. It features me and my synth player, Foetus Envy, in various stages of 8-bitness.

Peelander Z - "Let's Bowl!"

Peelander Z performing their "Let's Bowl!" routine during the SXSV event at Spiro's (which obviously turned out to be a great location) at 03/21/2009. If you pay close attention, you can see Chad onstage playing guitar in a yellow wig when the camera is panned to the far right, and Destroyed For Comfort's equipment (w/band member Foetus Envy perched nearby) when the camera pans to the left.

First Of All, A Devo Themed Bike.

The Infamous Chad has been busting his ass putting together this awesome showcase who's proceeds will go to the Livestrong Foundation. Besides the bands, there will also be art on display from local artists for sale, and the above DEVO themed bike (donated by the band!) will be auctioned off.

It's all going down Saturday, March 21st @ SXSV Headquarters.

In the meantime, this Saturday they will be hosting a Wine And Cheese Tasting Party.

Turn Your iPod Into A Taser!

This video has spawned a MASSIVE slew of debunkers, and honestly, I'm reserving my opinion until I actually see it or try it out myself... I'm still a HUGE fan of Household Hacker, tho.

I did download the MP3s, however, and you can expect to hear the samples in a future Destroyed For Comfort song.
